FAQs

Les questions les plus fréquemment posées par nos utilisatrices et notre communauté !

What is the best way to store my Green™ polish so it lasts longer?

You should try to open it as little as possible and close it as quickly as possible!

A little tip to beat the heat: the fridge is the best place to store it! Reducing the temperature helps prevent the polish from evaporating and slows down the rate at which the ingredients deteriorate.

What do your products contain?

You will find the full list of ingredients on the “Ingredients” tab of the product description page.

Are your products natural?

Our product ranges are green and clean with up to 84% plant-based ingredients (of natural origin). They are also free of endocrine disruptors, monomers and hydroquinone.

You can also rest assured that the Green Flash™ range is vegan, certified by the Vegan Society.

We are always on the lookout for an alternative to this product, as animal welfare is particularly important to us!

Is the Green™ range compatible with the Green Flash™ range? And with products from other brands?

Unfortunately not, each formula is unique and made from different ingredients. Our Green Flash™ products should only be used with products from the same range to ensure the best results.

How old do you have to be to use Green™ classic nail polish?

Our Green™ polish is recommended for ages 12+.

How long does Green™ polish take to dry?

It all depends on the thickness of your coats, but if you use our Quick-Dry Drops, you can halve the drying time of your Green™ polish (by 51% to be precise, according to recent studies)!

What steps do I need to follow for a Green™ System manicure?

The nail prep step is a very important way to make sure your polish lasts:

1) File your nails into your preferred shape using our emery board. Use the fine grain (Manucurist logo) for your fingernails and the coarser grain for your toenails.
2) Push back your cuticles. Apply our Cuticle Remover to the nail contour. Leave to work for 2 minutes, then push back the cuticles with a cuticle pusher.
3) File the surface of your nails using our buffer. This is designed to smooth, buff and open up the nail plate to help the polish adhere better.
4) Remove all traces of oil and/or impurities using our Nail Oil Remover to help the polish adhere better and last longer.

Then apply your Green™ polish by following the steps below. Carry out each step on all 10 fingers before moving on to the next step:

1) Apply a thin layer of Base Coat immediately after the Nail Oil Remover.
2) Apply 2 thin coats of colour once the Base Coat is dry. Wait a little while between each coat for it to dry slightly.
3) Apply 1 thin layer of Top Coat.
4) Apply 1 Quick-Dry Drop to the middle of each nail after applying the Top Coat.
Apply the polish in thin coats and wait 1-2 minutes between each coat!

How can I give my Green™ manicure a shine boost after a few days?

If you are wearing Green™ polish, you can reapply a layer of our Sunshine Top Coat to refresh its shine after a few days.

Can I use a Green™ treatment base coat under my Green™ polish instead of the regular Green™ base coat?

Yes, you can use any of our treatment base coats as part of your Green™ manicure, e.g. S.O.S. Base Coat, Force Base Coat or 5.5 Base Coat. These base coats are designed to strengthen your nails, while helping your Green™ polish to adhere properly.

How do I apply my nail polish?

For a clean, luminous and even finish, it all comes down to proper nail prep and thin layers.

Prep your nails: file to your desired shape, gently push back cuticles, then cleanse the nail surface.

Apply a thin layer of Green™ Base Coat to protect the nail and improve wear.

Apply your milky white shade in 1 to 2 thin coats (2 thin coats give a more even result), allowing each layer to air dry properly.

Finish with a Top Coat to seal in color and add shine, then apply a cuticle oil.

Tip: remove any excess immediately for clean, precise edges.

How long does my nail polish last and how can I improve its wear?

Under normal conditions, a classic nail polish can last up to 7 days with a clean, glossy finish, depending on nail prep and your daily routine (water exposure, cleaning, manual activities…).

If your polish chips, it’s usually due to one of the following:

-insufficient nail prep or cleansing
-layers applied too thick or not fully dry
-no base or top coat
-frequent exposure to water or household products

Best practices to extend wear:

-properly prep and cleanse the nail before application
-apply a base coat
-use thin, even layers
-allow each coat to fully dry
-seal with a top coat

Tip: wearing gloves for household tasks helps preserve shine and color for longer.

How do I remove my nail polish without damaging my nails?

For gentle removal your milky white nail polish, use a mild nail polish remover.

Soak a cotton pad, place it on the nail for a few seconds, then wipe to dissolve the color without excessive rubbing.

If needed, repeat the process rather than scraping the nail surface.

After removal, hydrate your nails and cuticles with an oil or nourishing treatment.

Tip: for more pigmented shades, use a clean cotton pad to avoid redepositing color on the nail.

Are Manucurist nail polishes and gel polishes natural, plant-based, and vegan?

Our natural nail polishes and gel polishes are vegan and formulated with the highest possible percentage of bio-based ingredients depending on the range.

elegante e raffinato

Ethereal, just lighter than expected

"Halo is such a unique shade. At first glance, it looks like a soft pink, but the magic is in the beautiful purple iridescent reflections that catch the light and give it an almost ethereal glow. ✨ That said, it looked a bit different in real life than I expected from the product photos and Instagram posts. On my nails, Halo is much lighter and sheerer—a milky, delicate pink rather than the more saturated baby pink it appears to be online. It also has a slight translucency, which makes the overall effect softer and more understated. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful polish. I just expected something a little more vibrant. In fact, I think if the pink base were even slightly more saturated, those gorgeous purple reflections would stand out so much more. That's the only thing that left me wishing for a bit more. Overall, Halo is elegant, delicate, and very pretty—but definitely softer and more subtle than the photos suggest."
